Dressmaking for Beginners

4 weeks x 3 1/2 hours

Making your own clothes is such a lovely thing to do. There is a strong movement away from ‘fast fashion’ and making your own clothes has to be the ultimate antidote!
From choosing a style you like, to finding a fabric and then the whole creative process of fitting and stitching, you will have something to be proud of!

If you feel you need some help, guidance, and support, this is the workshop for you. We are delighted to welcome Sally Rainbird to the team, she will take you through the cutting and making of your chosen garment with a great deal of help, encouragement, and her unfailing positivity! Bring a simple pattern (We stock, Sew Me Something patterns for adults and Two Stitches for children. Both are made in the UK and have great designs.) along with the required fabric.

We are very happy to advise on suitable patterns and fabrics for beginners. Please bring you own sewing machine (you can drop it off before you park). If you don’t have one, we have a few, so let us know if you need one when you book. This workshop is limited to 4 places, so that everybody gets plenty of attention.
