Hope everyone is OK and keeping their spirits up! It's been a long and unusual Summer and suddenly the kids are getting ready to go back to school and Autumn is almost upon us! We are getting really excited about the new season here at Craft Days and have had great fun sourcing new yarns to inspire you. Trends indicate that we are in for a very 'Woolly Winter', yippee! One of our great new discoveries is MY, McIntosh Yarns, a beautiful range of hand dyed, semi - solid yarns. Craft Days are in a pretty exclusive club as one of only 4 shops offering this yarn at the moment!
McIntosh Yarn comes in 14 of THE most delicious colours and the whole range is available both 4ply and DK. Each skein is hand dyed to order and comes with it's own eco-friendly cotton bag (the perfect project bag) and is posted directly to you. The colours are semi-solid with subtle variations within each one which adds to their richness and beauty.
The yarns are made from Bluefaced Leicester, the softest of British sheep breeds, which is a joy to knit with and a dream to wear. Imagine knitting a cosy sweater with this ultra soft yarn gliding through your fingers and then snuggling into it once it's finished!
McIntosh Yarns fit right in with the Autumn/Winter trends for comfort knitting. We are seeing knitwear being layered up and the scarf is the MUST HAVE accessory. Lots of oversized jumpers to keep you cosy, with big soft scarves to wrap around like a warm hug in the softest of yarns. One of the big trends is the sweater as a scarf, the sleeves wrapped around and tied at the front. After the last 6 months we've had and not knowing when it might end, we all need some comfort knitting to see us through the Autumn and Winter.
