Machine Embroidered Brooches – Mon 17th December

+ - Description

Enjoy a fun and creative morning designing and making an embroidered brooch, this little project is a good way to find out just what you and your sewing machine can do. Techniques include foiling felt, free machine embroidery, using a soldering iron and beading. The materials used include felt, bondaweb, embellishment foils, sheer fabric, machine embroidery thread and beads. All materials including threads will be provided. The workshop is suitable for beginners and those with some experience of free machine embroidery. You will need to bring your sewing machine. The machine can be quite basic or high tech as long as you can lower or cover the dog teeth and you have a machine embroidery foot, sometimes called a darning foot. (Please let us know at time of booking if you don’t have one as we do have a few that can be borrowed.)

Take a break from the hurly burly of the Christmas prep, have some machine sewing fun and create a unique brooch to wear or give away (if you can bare to part with it!)
