Sashiko is a gentle, simple and ancient style of Japanese Embroidery. Originally used to patch clothing together it is based on simple running stitches and looks very effective. We will use templates to draw our designs onto linen fabric and use white, multi-coloured Sashiko thread or coloured embroidery thread to stich the pattern onto the top of our pin cushions. Then we will then make them up with a patterned fabric on the back and add tassels on the corners. All materials included.
