Have you got a sewing machine sitting in a box somewhere, unused and unloved? Or maybe one in the loft or at the back of a cupboard that never sees the light of day? Maybe you have used it, but only for straight sewing. Well this is the workshop for you. We will acquaint you with your machine and we are pretty sure you will become good friends! On this workshop you will discover how to thread up your machine, what all the knobs and dials do and when and how you might use them. After some practice, we will make a needle case in the morning and a Linen bag in the afternoon, which involves putting in a zip, making a button hole, seams, sewing curves and top stitching. All practice materials included.
(If you would like to take part in this workshop but don’t have your own machine, we do have a few that can be borrowed. Make sure you let us know when you book.)
Tea and Coffee provided all day, please bring something for lunch. You will receive 10% off any products purchased on the day of your workshop.
